Breakfast at Urban Tea Rooms
There's nothing more comforting than knowing that a delicious breakfast is always within reach, just yards from your office. Urban Tea Rooms, which you can find on Kingly Street, Soho, has been a favourite of my fellow BBHers and mine for as long as I can remember. They are always there, the day after every messy work party, serving life saving Cotswolds bacon baps and British pork and leek sausage sandwiches, both £3.80 - not to mention the ever popular selection of tea and coffee.
You'll be hard pushed to find a better bacon sarnie in Soho; the meat is salty and delicious (the perfect combination, am I right?!) and it gets a good go in the toastie maker, leaving the bread toasted just right, with a choice of ketchup or brown sauce.
Anyone that hangs around Soho as much as I do, will know how expensive it is around these parts, which makes it pretty tough to find anywhere cheap and cheerful. However, Urban Tea Rooms is one of these reasonable little gems, that lets you have a guilt free breakfast or lunch whenever you need it. The staff in there are also incredibly friendly and will make you feel at home right away - it's the kind of chilled out café you could sit and do a day's work in - and eat as many bacon baps as you like, obviously.
