Stitch & Story is collaborating with Harris + Hoole to bring you: Beginners Knitting Workshops. Teamed with great, artisan coffee and scrummy cakes, you'll learn how to master those knit and purls with unflappability!
Ever wanted to learn to knit but those little sticks of wonder have just thrown you? Or perhaps you learned a while ago and you wish to re-ignite the crafty wizard in you?
Be it your first time knitting, or looking for company while completing that knitting project you started a while back, our beginner's knitting workshop is perfect for some modern knitter natter. Collaborating with Harris + Hoole, situated right outside Canon Street station, you'll also be spoilt with gorgeous cakes and artisanal coffee!
Jen & Jenny (co-founders of Stitch & Story and columnists for Ask The Expert in Craftseller magazine) will teach you all the basics including how to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off. Each class will host 10-12 people and the places are available on a first come first serve basis.
You'll learn: Cast on, knit, purl, and cast off. Each knitter will go away with a series of swatch patterns.
Stitch & Story is a new knitting brand aimed at revamping the craft of knitting with all-in-one DIY knitting kits for beginners. They hold regular knitting workshops and sell natural, sustainable merino wool. As advocates of the Campaign for Wool, they've even had the opportunity to meet the patron, HRH Prince Charles and knitted baby George a bunny and baby booties!
I'll be popping along to the Saturday 21st March session, so be sure to come and say hello if you'll be joining too.
See you there!
