Christmas Coffee in Covent Garden

This afternoon, some of the girls and I wondered off into Covent Garden in search of the Taylors of Harrogate pop-up room. We’d heard that there would be a free serving of coffee and just couldn’t refuse popping in and taking a look – especially as they were teaming up with Stylist magazine for the event. Upon arrival we were greeted by a spritely gentleman, who handed us a bag of their Limited Edition Christmas Blend each (yum), a cup of coffee and an invite to take a seat downstairs and relax.

Because this particular event was being held in the Covent Garden Piazza, it goes without saying that we expected something a little bit impressive – and we weren’t disappointed. The room was reminiscent of a glamorous Christmas log cabin; with Stylist prints adorning the walls, festive nick-nacks, a comfy sofa, little white tables and chairs and everywhere scattered with free copies of the magazine for the taking.

We were a little too late to enjoy the free manicures and brownies that had also been on offer earlier on in the day, but we had a great time catching up with our hot cups of coffee and admiring the decor. And it didn’t cost a penny – Hooray!

Unfortunately, today was the last day of the pop up event and I wish I’d have gotten wind of it sooner. It just goes to show, it’s always best to have an eagle eye out for this kind of thing – I like to scroll through Time Out orLondonist when I’m looking for something fun to do at the weekend and after today, I think I’ll be adding Stylist to that list too!
